EdBookNZ is about teachers being proactive with their own learning and being prepared to share their learning experience with colleagues.
The process is about extending professional learning within and beyond the school and about making learning visible.
First each author selects a current educator jargon that they are interested in.Then the writer unpacks and disrupts their thinking about the terminology using research and discussion.
Next each educator writes approximately 1000 words and publishes their writing on a blog or somewhere that it can be seen. After that they actively seek feedback from their peers and use this feedback to develop their writing.
Finally the EdBookNZ is published as a digital book that is shared with the education community. Each educator is given a time of when the piece must be live so they are working to a schedule and at the same time are reminded of what it is like to be a learner.
